  • Finding Your North Star. Your own North Star, aka your “right life”, is the ultimate realization of your potential - intellectual, physical, creative, and most importantly, your potential for happiness.

We all have 2 selves – an Essential Self which is our true personality, characteristics and traits, and a Social Self, which developed in response to social pressures on us to behave in certain ways. Only when your essential and social selves are in alignment and working together will you be on your way towards your North Star, which is your right life.

  • 5-minute Exercise: Tap into Your Body Compass
    Your body’s physical reaction to situations is one of the most powerful indicators of whether you are moving towards or away from your North Star. Using your body compass means to map your physical reaction onto a -10 to 10 scale, with -10 representing your worst experience, 0 representing neutral, and +10 representing your best experience. In this exercise, you will recall your most painful memory to identify and name your -10 body compass rating, and then recall your most positive memory to identify and name your +10 body compass rating. The point of this is to become aware of and familiar with these extreme feelings so you can determine your Body Compass rating for any situation.
